Lessons Learned: 26th Birthday Reflections

Today is my 26th birthday. Today I celebrate 26 years of life, blessings, and adventures. What better way to mark this milestone than to reflect on some lessons learned this year? 
Here we go...

• I have a choice, every moment of every day, to choose love, to choose God, to choose joy instead of choosing anger, sin, or discontentment. 
• People come in and out of your life, and that's OK. 
• Loving on Kindergarten students is hard work and a deep investment of love. 
• Wear more dresses.
• Take walks. 
• Accept forgiveness and keep moving. 
• Never, EVER promise people that you are coming home for a visit until you've booked the airline tickets. 
• Don't take your youth for granted. Aches, pains, and indigestion suck. 
• Simple is usually better. 
• Be a morning person. 
• Try making it yourself first. 
• Devote yourself to prayer and the rest will follow. 
• You will make time for what is important to you. 
• "Talking with quiet confidence will always beat screaming with obvious insecurity." 
• Being debt-free is well worth it. 
• Pray for your spouse continually. 
• Enjoy each season while you're in it. 
• Learn contentment. 
• God has a plan. Take it one faithful moment at a time.
